I just wish to bring my memories back to ten years. YEAH!! A teenage boy who live everyday life with books with the thought of passes through the Advanced Level examination and dreamed to take my feet into a University to bright up my future..!

Something has seeded in our mind from our childhood and we tend to begin the race to reach a goal which we defined without a matured mind when we were on our primary studies.

It started from proudly say the words “Doctor..! Engineer..!” in classroom as answers for the question, “What is your ambition?”. It’s the nostalgic question for all students. My answer was PILOT to the question even-though don’t fully know what else need to do to operate the flight engine to float the giant metal body over the sky. My tiny mind fell in love with the Black and White smart dress which they wore.

Will love on a dress is enough to define our ambition??

What the tiny mind knows deeply other than get attractions on the things which have something enough to simply attract it? At a time, my ambition is to become as a LORRY DRIVER..! Hah..! Again as the mind get love on those big wheels speeds on road with screams.

If I recall those memories now, I just smile to myself to have such critical ambitions in my past. Alright! coming back to my Advanced Level dream. It was well defined one as the mind gets matured at-least some degree. Just decided to win the race at the end for the beginning of the University life, planned my way well and finally executed it in a successful manner as targeted.

The moment which I said, “I got university entrance..!” to my parents is something out of this world. That was another gift I gave to them as return to their expectations on me.

After initiating the University life, start to felt that it’s entirely different than the school life. New friends, new curriculum style, new teaching method and blah..! blah..!

No one care you unless you take care of yourself..!

Simple concept of University life is like that and nothing will wait for you. Everything will run with time and you need to chase them in any possible ways. As per the meaning of the word “University” itself, it has a lot to learn. But, we have to identify the things properly inside us that ‘what to learn?’. Initially, I too failed on understanding and identifying the correct things to learn from University and later I became good enough to understand what I need for my life from University?

From the day I understand that fact, I became as the person who not saved books and notes as scanned copies in brain to reprint them on exams as same as they scanned. Methods get turned to conceptual studies. Instead of entirely scan the books and notes, have quick run through lines, stopped at the place which is important and take them in mind in an understandable way with our own method has happened thereafter. It’s really returned enough results from exams too on a side as to keep good educational records and on other side, life get turned to a different way which gave hope to move step forward towards any barriers.

As the mind get matured some more, I took my parallel step in IT studies from the second year of University. Even-though I’m a Management undergraduate, my interest is not with complete any accounts by finish off the balance sheet as balanced. Truly, I never balance at-least a very basic balance sheet covering my whole University and Advanced Level studies. It may be curse to me. But, for that, I not get failed in my career as just a balance sheet is not a determiner of my life.

“How the Management mind fell in love with IT?” is the question some people asked to me. It’s seeded during my Advanced Level studies as I been one of the member of our school web team.

Me and some of my friends (Arunmaran, Shanjeevnath, Paul Roshan, Vamanan, Mayooran and Gokulan) committed to take part on the development of our school website with the only knowledge we had with Microsoft Office. Obviously, Microsoft FrontPage is not enough to build an entire website and our big thanks is with Koneswaran Saravanamuthu, “Kones anna” in our words. He led us through school website development when he was an undergraduate at University of Moratuwa. He is the person who seeded the passion of IT in our mind, guide and courage a lot on our achievements.

YES..! that turned me to take a deeper look on computers which built IT passion inside me a lot!

My target was defined well from the initiation of my IT studies. Even, I did my thesis on analyzing the Computerized Library Management System of Eastern University, Sri Lanka. On my thesis, my great thanks are with Mr. Wilfred Jeyaraj, who was the Acting Librarian during my research works. Instead of just supervising my works, he gave valuable guidelines and support to me on my thesis which made me to see him not as a supervisor and as a mentor. After first era of my professional studies come to an end, the next race is waited for me. The race to obtain a job..!

That too brought me a big confident in my life. Attend my very first interview with full of hope. Seen some people who brought bunch of more educational certificates than me and also talking with others about their previous working experiences as sitting outside of interview hall. Nothing shakes my mind. Raise the confident more inside me to present myself well on the interview.

Strong confident will return good things in hand and as it is, I got appointment from my very first interview as Project Assistant at the World Bank aided HETC Project. Getting a job in first interview may be luck. But, only the luck will not work in all scenarios. At-least certain true facts plays.

After a year of race, I said ‘Good Bye’ to my first job as to begin my professional life in IT. After series of search, found a place which valued my skills, Innovay (Pvt) Ltd. Started as Associate Software Engineer and now stand as Business Analyst. Still there is a long run to achieve my goal.

What I have now in hands is what I really love to do. I do not work for tasks..! I work for my passion..!! Doing new things and learning new things is my way. I never thought to stop my journey at a point and never fear to get myself committed with a challenging life too.

Nothing is settlement point in life. Everything gets move further. A person who thought to live the life with a safe line going to miss lot of interesting and meaningful things in life. Chasing life with challenges and difficulties is an interesting journey which not have path through flourishing gardens. Instead, it paves path through desert which lead us to pick dates at a point.

“Can’t you get a government job?”

“Why can’t you join with a bank?”

Those are some questions I faced and passed through our society. Most of our people don’t even know the difference between “can’t” and “don’t like”.

If you thought to live for other’s dream, you’ll lose your own vision..!

As having certain defined goals in mind with entrepreneurial thoughts, I move my steps forward with perseverance to grab my winning day in hands..!!

Hmm… that’s my thoughts I wish to share consisting the experiences I yet gained in my life. Apart from that, here, I initiate my Internet presence which I dreamed for a long period by debuting my own website on my special day, 12th July, which is the day my mother brought me to this world to live a meaningful life.

As having hope inside me that I can achieve anything at my maximum, put my very own effort on the design and development of this website. With this initiation, looking forward to bring out articles to share knowledge with people on things I get to know and the things I’ve interest with..!
